Elk River Rumble

On Saturday January 26th DawgHouse Promotions and Elk River Boxing Club will be presenting the Elk River Rumble. This event will include Professional and Amateur Boxing bouts along with MMA and kickboxing bouts .

The feature bouts will be David Daniel of Saint Albans WV will face Jp Colvin  in a Professional Boxing bout for the World Boxing League North American Light Heavyweight Title.

Mikael Bosse and Jeremy Lane Pro Boxing bout for the Super Middleweight World Boxing League Intercontinental Master’s Title.

there will also be several Amateur Boxing bouts featuring several local boxers  including Tyler Nichols from Roane County Chris Stephens  from Clay  Trae Stout, Tyler Conrad from Braxton County . And a Heavyweight Bout Trenton Harper vs  Clayton Fields

alos there will be Kickboxing and MMA Bouts featuring Michael Jordan from Clendenin and David  Gibson from Roane County .

Elk River MMA goes 2-0 in Clarksburg WV

img_3257It has been a busy three weeks for Elk River Boxing Club. They have traveled to Martinsburg, Clarksburg, Glenville and St. Albans to compete in various competitions from boxing and MMA to karate, and Judo.  Their most recent event took place in Clarksburg, West Virginia at the Hard Knocks cage fights where they went 2-0. William “Blake” Whittington, of Clendenin, defeated Jake Wickline, of Frostburg, Maryland to raise his record to 4-1. Tyler Harper, of Clendenin, defeated Densel Chapman, of Logan, WV for his first win in an MMA amateur competition. Coach Rob Fletcher says he is “very excited about the wins and so happy about all of the competitions Elk River Boxing Club and Elk River MMA has participated in this year. Even after the flood, our kids have been extremely successful and hard working”. Elk River Boxing Club will be back in action after the first of the year and will competing in many events so be prepared to hear more from them in 2017.

Elk River MMA Fighters go undefeated in Morgantown

Elk River Boxing Club and MMA went undefeated this weekend at the Ruckus in the Cage, in Morgantown. William (Blake) Whittington, from Elkview, defeated Danny Smalls of Morgantown via rear naked choke in the 2nd Round. Eric (Logan) Jackson, of Clendenin, defeated James Larusso of Morgantown in the 3rd Round via TKO. Eric and William both remain undefeated with a 3-0 record

Elk River Boxing Club goes undefeated In MMA Action this weekend in Parkersburg

Elk River Boxing Club competed in the Dugout Summer Throwdown MMA event  in Parkersburg this past Saturday, August 13th.

Eric “Logan” Jackson, of Clendenin, defeated Sonny Cross, of Parkersburg, via knock out in 13 seconds of the first round .

William “Blake” Whittington, of Clendenin, defeated  Seath  Seabring, of Parkersburg, via TKO in the 3rd round.

This is the first contest Elk River Boxing Club has participated in since the June Floods destroyed their gym.
